Changelog
All notable changes to vs-impoundjob. Newest first.
1.0.0 (2026-11-01)
Initial release.
- Police forced removals.
/requesttow, or the target option on any car. A request screen lists the yards that can collect it, with who would answer and a reason. Routing follows drawn call areas. - A scripted NPC tow truck that drives in, reverses onto the car, hooks it with the real tow arm, and drives off. A watchdog guarantees the impound completes.
- Four lot modes: NPC Staffed, Player Staffed, Auto Staffed, and Public Job, switchable at any time without losing a placed point.
- In-game Creator (
/impoundcreator).- Places every point, picks existing gates, and lays rows of yard bays.
- Draws call areas on a map, styles blips, and captures a uniform from the admin's own clothes.
- Edits every runtime setting, server-wide or per lot.
- A visible yard. Impounded cars stand in their bays in their own paint, wheels, lights, and extras. Unowned cars age out.
- Release fees. A base fee, per-class prices, and an optional late charge with a grace period and a cap, quoted identically on every screen.
- A player-run business.
- Each staffed lot gets its own framework job (Yard Clerk, Tow Driver, Boss) on ESX, QBCore, and Qbox.
- A duty clock.
- A staff terminal with invoices, releases, and the dispatch board.
- A boss terminal: overview, finances, prices, yard, fleet, stock, accreditation, staff.
- A store room, a changing room, and optional lot-paid wages.
- Fleet with wear. Trucks lose condition per shift, per tow, and by crash damage. They rust as they wear, and repairs and sell-back are priced by condition. Heavy trucks unlock through accreditation.
- The
flatbed3recovery truck, streamed with the script. A sliding, tilting deck, twin winch cables hooked at the bumper, and wheel chocks. - The Public Job tow depot. No whitelist, two clocks per call, eight special call types, a five-level reputation ladder with suspension, and a four-rung truck ladder. Earnings survive restarts.
- Assistance calls. Any player can call the nearest staffed yard out to them.
- Traffic cones, placed singly or in rows and picked back up.
- Server-authoritative and persistent. Money, roles, duty, and distances are checked on the server. Data lives in 12 MySQL tables, created automatically.
- Exports:
ImpoundVehicle,GetLots, and more for other resources. - Localised through
locales/.
